Spain midfielder, Gavi has urged FIFA not to punish Leandro Paredes and other Argentina players who were involved in a fight following both sides’ World Cup final on Sunday.
Spain Won Argentina 1-0 in the final to win the World Cup in New Jersey.
Following the final whistle, some players of both teams engaged in a fight.
Paredes attacked Gavi and Eric Garcia while Nahuel Molina hit Rodri.
Also, a tense confrontation occurred between Nicolas Otamendi and Rodri.

Speaking from his hometown in Spain, Gavi defended the players, insisting they should not face suspension. Speaking to reporters via Barca Universal, he said: “I don’t think they should be suspended. I understand that it doesn’t set the best example for children, but football has always had a more aggressive and intense side.”
“For me, it made sense for them to be punished with a red card to Enzo during the match and for the matter to end there. I see that everything that happened is part of football.”
